Andrew J. Haile, immigration counselor

As an Immigration Counselor at the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic, Haile assists in the representation of refugees and asylees seeking federal immigration benefits, including green cards, citizenship, family reunification petitions, and affirmative asylum applications.  

Prior to joining Elon, Haile worked for Lutheran Family Services, a non-profit refugee resettlement agency in Greensboro.  After graduating cum laude from Middlebury College in 2007, Haile served two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea, West Africa, where he undertook public health awareness projects and taught English as a second language.  He is fluent in French and Fulani, a common West African dialect.
