
Thomas Molony, associate professor of law

Thomas Molony joins the Elon faculty after practicing law with the Charlotte firm of Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson. His practice focused on corporate and commercial law, public finance and bankruptcy. In his practice, he represented public and private companies in various corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, served as bond counsel for governmental and educational bond transactions, and represented creditors in connection with bankruptcy matters.
Prior to attending law school, Molony worked as a senior accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick in Roanoke, Va., performing financial statement audits for clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, energy, government and non-profit.
Molony is a summa cum laude graduate of Washington and Lee University, where he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Order of the Coif, served as managing editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review, and received the Roy L. Steinheimer, Jr. Commercial Law Award.
