Tutor/Volunteer in a Literacy Program

Outside of the annual Elon inter term SASA program, Elon students, faculty and staff and area teachers are encouraged to join the “It Takes a Village Program,” which offers free tutoring each semester at May Memorial Library for struggling readers and their families. Participants are pre-screened through an interview process, and must complete the necessary paperwork before they are accepted into the program or begin receiving tutoring lessons. Persons interested in volunteering as tutors are encouraged to contact Dr. Jean Rattigan-Rohr at for more information and to sign up for the program.
