Carol C. Mattusch Wednesday, March 3 Mattusch has produced four major books dealing primarily with bronze sculpture from the Greek and Roman worlds. Her recent curatorial project was the exhibition Pompeii and the Roman Villa for the National Gallery of Art in Washington and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Biography Carol C. Mattusch is the Mathy Professor of Art History in the department of history and art history at George Mason University. She has taught at the university since 1977 and specializes in courses on Greek and Roman art and archaeology and the rediscovery of classical antiquity. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College, Mattusch received her PhD in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975.
