Conferences, Symposia & Workshops

The Center endeavors to assist in informing the policy making process by developing relationships for the purpose of promoting public awareness and understanding of public problems. Effective connections between the University and public service or non-profit organizations charged to act on policy issues are essential to this aim.

The Center serves the community by providing support for and services to public and non-profit organizations that will strengthen administrative, leadership, and public policy making processes.

Recent Initiatives Have Included the Following Conferences and Workshops:

  • Annual Conference of the North Carolina Department of Justice, Division of Probation and Parole
  • Hispanics in Alamance County (in cooperation with Burlington Sister Cities)
  • Good Hearts-Good Skills: Leadership Training for Non-Profit Executives in Alamance County
