Meet the Current LEP Teaching Assistants

Ryan Bennett is a junior from Sterling, Massachusetts.  He participated in the LEP program during the spring of 2014.  Ryan is a Leadership Fellow majoring in Sport & Event Management with a minor in Leadership.  He is involved with NIRSA outside of Elon and recently became the first undergraduate to be appointed to their National Leadership Commission.  Ryan is excited to be a TA for the LEP program this spring.


Anna Brown is a junior from Wake Forest, North Carolina.  She is majoring in elementary education and one day hopes to become a principal.  Anna studied abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica, the spring of her sophomore year.  She is very involved on campus, including New Student Orientation Head Staff, Elonthon and a Greek organization.  She is also a Teaching Fellow.  Anna participated in the LEP the fall of her sophomore year, was a TA in the fall of 2014, and is now one of the student coordinators! She loves LEP and hopes everyone has a wonderful experience!

 


Tabitha Core is an elementary education major from Chevy Chase, MD.  She participated in LEP as part of the Teaching Fellows program in fall of 2014.  In the spring of her sophomore year, she studied abroad in San José, Costa Rica, where she plans to teach for a couple of years after graduation.  She loves LEP and is so excited to be a TA this semester!


Robin Gottlieb is a junior Teaching Fellow from Nantucket, Massachusetts. She is double-majoring in Special and Elementary Education and is minoring in Psychology. Last spring, Robin spent the semester abroad in Costa Rica and will be studying abroad this summer in Bali. On campus, she is a Teaching Fellow, a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and is a consultant at the Writing Center. Robin was an LEP participant in the fall of 2013 and is a TA this spring.  

 



Anyssa McMillan is a senior from Baltimore, Maryland, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Leadership.  Anyssa is committed to the empowerment of students and figuring out their potential futures.  In her free time, she is active in her business fraternity and passionate about photography.  This January she was able to study abroad in Costa Rica and learned about ecotourism and the overall history of Costa Rica.  She loves service and is an active worker with the Cinderella Project.  She is also on the executive board of Affinity and Sisterhood Circle.  Anyssa participated in LEP in Spring 2013,  was a TA during spring 2014, and now she is one of the student coordinators.


Maggie Schmidt is a senior from Bethesda, Maryland.  She is majoring in political science and international studies with a concentration in Europe and minoring in Business Administration. She is very committed to activities on campus including the LEAD program, Club Lacrosse and Model UN.  She has many leadership roles at Elon, including those in Zeta Tau Alpha and Pi Sigma Alpha and the political science honor society.  Maggie participated in the LEP program her sophomore year and is one of the coordinators for the program this year.
