Annual fall poetry contest accepting entries through Nov. 3

Entries will be judged this year by visiting poet Cate Marvin, with submissions due by Friday, Nov. 3.   

The arrival of fall means it’s time once again to submit a poem or two to Elon’s poetry contest, which will be judged this year by visiting poet Cate Marvin

Up to two submissions per person made be made at the office of Kevin Boyle, professor of English, at Whitley 207, sent through campus mail to Kevin Boyle CB 2338 or emailed to Jeana Schickedantz at jschickedantz@elon.edu.

Emailed entries should include “POETRY CONTEST” in the subject line along with the author’s last name. Typed poems should have the author’s name on them. 

Entries must be received by 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3.

Winners will be announced by Cate Marvin at her Nov. 7 poetry reading. That event will begin at 7 p.m. in Johnston Hall on South Antioch Avenue on South Campus.
