Welcome to the Elon Votes! website. This resource was developed by Elon Votes! and the Elon University Political Engagement Work Group.
Launched in 2014, Elon Votes! is a nonpartisan campus initiative created to provide students with the necessary resources to register to vote and learn about issues at stake in upcoming elections. This initiative is housed in the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement and is coordinated by Elon student Andrew Goodman Foundation Ambassadors Gabby Vance and Thomas Armooh. The Andrew Goodman Foundation’s Vote Everywhere initiative is a nonpartisan, experiential program that recruits, trains, and supports emerging leaders at colleges and universities across the country.
The Elon University Political Engagement Work Group is a nonpartisan collaborative team that formed in 2015 involving students, faculty, and staff representing areas from across campus. The group’s charge is to implement voter education activities and increase student participation in local, state, and national voting and election initiatives. Partners include: Center for Leadership, Department of Political Science and Policy Studies, Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement, National Campaign for Political and Civic Engagement, Residence Life, Student Government Association, Student Media, Study USA, and Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.
