For the Kids
The city of Burlington offers a variety of youth programs through the Burlington recreation and parks department.
From fishing, drama, tennis and art camps to a children’s garden at the Forest Hills Community Center, there are opportunities for children throughout the school year and the summer months. Thataways Youth Center, located in the Burlington City Park, also provides year-round opportunities for family fun with family movie nights and a Teen to Teen Theatre Program. The Alamance County YMCA also offers programs for kids, adults and families.
The Children’s Museum of Alamance County provides opportunities for children to play and create in a hands-on environment. The Greensboro Children’s Museum provides similar activities and programs, including an edible schoolyard.
