Faculty and staff can utilize Mail Services for any university related mailing. Mail Services provides afternoon mail and package pickup and delivery for departments (typically 1:00pm – 3:30pm).

Shipping Address

Mail and packages weighing less than 100 pounds that are to be delivered to campus should be properly addressed using the following format to avoid items being delayed or returned to sender:

     First and Last Name (as listed in the directory)
     XXXX Campus Box (Use your department number. 2950 is the BILLING address, not the shipping address.)
     Elon, NC 27244

If a shipper is requiring a physical address, an additional address line of 100 Campus Drive can be included.

Large/Freight Items:

Items weighing more than 100 pounds and freight deliveries should be addressed with the physical address of the receiving dock in Facilities Management:

First and Last Name (as listed in the directory)
Department Name

Outgoing Items

Items needing to be mailed out can be dropped off at the mail counter or sent via inter-campus mail with your outgoing items. Inter-campus mail and prestamped mail should be separated from any items needing postage. Domestic and international outgoing items should be separated as well.

Please complete our Postage Authorization Form: Fillable Four per Page Form or Fillable Single Form to be sent along with your item(s) needing postage or be sure to include the following information:

  • Date
  • Contact name and phone number
  • Department name
  • Account number
  • Number of pieces
  • Any additional comments (if applicable)

Personal packages needing to be mailed out should be brought to the mail counter and not sent through inter-campus mail. We are a drop off location for FedEx, UPS, and USPS. Postage and packaging supplies can be purchased with cash or Phoenix cash.

Please note: All outgoing USPS mail and packages must be processed and ready by 3:30pm in order to be delivered to the post office the same day.
