Mark Archambault mentors two student publications in JAAPA.

Mark Archambault mentored two students to successful journal article publication in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

 Mark Archambault, chair and program director of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, recently served as mentoring author of two peer-reviewed articles written by former students.

 The most recent was co-authored with Chioma Ngumezi MMS, PA-C, a 2011 Wake Forest School of Medicine PA Program graduate, and titled “When does treatment of subclinical hypothyroidism reduce cardiovascular risk?”. It was published in the February 2012 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

An earlier piece was co-authored with Lauren Jewett MMS, PA-C, a 2011 Wake Forest School of Medicine PA Program graduate, and titled “Can an ACE inhibitor reduce the risk of developing progressive renal disease?” It was published in the September 2011 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and seeks to educate providers to reduce health disparities related to chronic kidney disease in African-Americans.
