The article explores the general doctrine that private employment is at-will, and the common law's exception to that doctrine for wrongful discharge in violation of "public policy."

Mackenzie Myers and Joshua Bonney won the final round of Elon Law’s Seventh Annual Intramural Moot Court Competition. Jaclyn Maffetore and Anne Evangelista were the first-runner up team. Evangelista was also named “Best Oralist from the Final Round.” Nickie Young was named “Best Oralist from the Preliminary Rounds.” The team of Megan Boorsma and Marissa Kuzbyt took “Best Brief” honors.

Associate Professor Naeemah Clark authored a newspaper column that reflects on the relationship she shares with her father and her recent efforts to teach him social media best practices.

Thousands of refugees each year face hurdles in rebuilding lives away from homes where they were persecuted, and on Monday evening in the Global Neighborhood, Elon University students learned more about issues confronting new arrivals to the United States.
