Elon LWIA, GLC to host panel discussion with top music industry executives on gender equality

With music executives on campus for the LWIA conference, a panel on gender will take place in Turner Theatre along with a formal reception in the atrium. This event is free to all students and faculty.

The Leading Women in Audio conference on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 works to highlight the presence and contribution of women within the audio industry. Yet, the Gender & LGBTQIA Center are expanding the lens on Thursday night to focus the conversation on gender as a whole.

The panel – consisting of all speakers for the Friday and Saturday events except for Marcella Araica, Michel Holbrook, Leslie Mona-Mathus and Samantha Potter – will center on the strength we all find through empowering ourselves and one another, regardless of sex and/or gender.

The discussion will take place inside Turner Theatre on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. All students and faculty in attendance will have the opportunity to network with the presenters, eat and get their photo taken on the red carpet at the Snow Atrium inside of Schar Hall following the discussion.

The night is free to all students and faculty and registration to the LWIA conference is not needed for the Thursday panel.
