Vice President for Student Life Jon Dooley provides this weekly message to help students stay informed and prepare for the upcoming week, with a special emphasis on Homecoming Week 2025.
It’s Homecoming Week! Get ready to show your Phoenix spirit, cheer on the football team as they take on Villanova, and welcome home our alumni. This week will also mark the return of two great Elon Homecoming traditions – the NPHC Step Show and the Homecoming Concert, which will occur during Rock the Block and will feature Plain White T’s.
Students also have the chance to participate in voting for two Homecoming traditions:
- Vote on the E’s! – Vote for your favorite painted E at different locations throughout the week.
- SGA Royalty Court Voting – Cast your ballot for Homecoming Royalty on PhoenixCONNECT any time this week before voting closes Friday, Oct. 10, at 5 p.m.

International Education Week
Oct. 5 – 11
Elon will celebrate International Education Week (IEW) with events that highlight culture, scholarship and global connections. This year’s theme, “Connecting Cultures, Enriching Health, & Well-being” ties directly to HealthEU. Learn more about how we all can engage with the world in meaningful ways. Homecoming Week College Coffee

Celebrate Homecoming Week with a special edition of College Coffee with voting for the E’s and performances by the Elon Cheer and Dance Teams.
Food Truck Frenzy & the SUB Homecoming Student Celebration
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 5-8 p.m., Koury Parking Lot

NPHC Homecoming Step Show
Thursday, Oct. 9, 7 p.m., Moseley Center, McKinnon Hall (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.)
Join the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) for the return of the NPHC Homecoming Step Show! Come support the Divine Nine fraternities and sororities as they take the stage with precision and energy. Tickets are free for students. Reserve your ticket online.
Rock the Block & Homecoming CONCERT featuring the Plain White T’s
Friday, Oct. 10, 5-9 p.m., Young Commons
