The Department of Religious Studies faculty will collaborate with colleagues from the University of St. Thomas and Augsburg University on the $7,500 Wabash Center grant.

The grant is for the assistant professor of psychology's project, "An empirical investigation of allyship and intersectionality to signal identity safety for stigmatized individuals in the workplace."

Jennifer J. Carroll, assistant professor of anthropology, has received an award to evaluate novel harm-reduction programs in Massachussetts.

Assistant provost for teaching and learning and executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning, Peter Felten was one of four honored with the network’s 2018 Bob Pierleoni Spirit of POD Award.

Concern about the growing opioid epidemic prompted the Elon community to organize the forum as a way to educate students, faculty and staff.

Elon was a partner in the conference, which focused on learning about and lifting the souls of black and brown women and girls. The event was held at Shaw University in partnership with the Raleigh/Apex chapter of the NAACP. 

Michael Carignan, associate professor of History, has been named the Center for Engaged Learning Senior Scholar for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The grant was awarded through the "Combating Opioid Overdose through Community-Level Intervention" (COOCLI) program of the U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy to evaluate harm reduction services in rural areas of North Carolina.

Cassie is recognized for her impressive contributions as a systems administrator and dedicated member of Elon’s Information Technology team.

The ranking comes from Poets & Quants, a business education news outlet that released its survey results on Dec. 13.
