Paula Weller and Pieter Swanepoel, both of the Department of Accounting, were recognized as scholarship recipients at the Lean Accounting and Manufacturing Summit.

The Secretariat of the Asian Shakespeare Association invited Artemis Preeshl, assistant professor of performing arts, to present “Bangsawan and the Bard” on The Theatrical Trade panel at the Shakespeare, Traffics, Tropics conference next year in Manila, The Philippines. 

Assistant Professor Denise Hill and Adjunct Instructor Lorraine Ahearn received honorable mention awards in the 2017 Margaret A. Blanchard Doctoral Dissertation Prize competition.

Assistant Professor Matt Pardo was selected as a 2017 artist for the North Carolina Dance Festival and will be performing his solo "I Insist" in Greensboro on Nov. 11 at the Van Dyke Performance Space.

Five faculty were awarded a Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning Grant to support their innovative and scholarly teaching and learning projects.

 

Hall is recognized for her dedication to the Offices of Admissions, Financial Planning, and Application Technologies.

Artemis Preeshl, visiting assistant professor of performing arts, has been awarded a doctorate of education from Union Institute and University.

The award is presented for the first time by the American Philosophical Association, the American Association of Philosophy Teachers and the Teaching Philosophy Association. 

Running strong in its 10th year, the program will aid yet another diverse group of faculty in integrating sustainability into new and existing courses across campus.
