Art Cassill, a professor of accounting, has been named Elon University's first Wesley R. Elingburg Professor. Cassill was recognized during Fall Convocation on Oct. 23, where Elon trustee Wes Elingburg and his wife, Cathy, were in attendance for the presentation. It was their generous gift to the university that made possible the endowed professorship.

Dozens of recruiters from regional and national accounting firms met with Elon students Monday evening in the Koury Business Center in what has become one of the largest events of the year for the Beta Alpha Psi finance and accounting honors organization.

Elon University’s Lambda Chi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has achieved “Superior Chapter” status and was recognized by the national organization this summer as the “Most Improved Chapter” for 2008.
