Piatt named Vice President for University Advancement

James B. Piatt Jr. has been named vice president for university advancement at Elon University. Piatt currently serves as vice president for college advancement at Mount Union College, Alliance, Ohio. He will succeed Nan P. Perkins, who retires this year after a 32-year career at Elon.

Belk Pavilion reflects ‘upbuilding of mankind’

The William Henry Belk Pavilion, home to the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, was formally dedicated May 1 when members of the Belk family traveled to Elon University for a ceremony attended by dozens of faculty and staff.
