To celebrate Elon University’s Spring Undergraduate Research Forum on April 29, and to celebrate Undergraduate Research Week, Today at Elon is highlighting several students presenting their research at the annual campus tradition.

The regional STEM conference for undergraduate students, called Integrating Research in Science (IRIS), celebrates interdisciplinary interactions by bringing together the realms of STEM and STEM-related fields.

The university's top undergraduate research award comes with $20,000 to support and celebrate academic and creative achievements.

Karty is one of only 441 students to be awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship out of an applicant pool of 5,000+.

The conference was established in 2018 to give students from smaller institutions without the resources of major universities the opportunity to present their research and interact with students from other colleges and universities.

Middle and high school students from across the state completed challenges with faculty in the Department of Engineering, grew leadership skills and built community through programs inside the Innovation Quad.

The Elon Innovation Council is now accepting applications for Fall 2024 Innovation grants, an opportunity for Elon students, faculty and staff to think creatively about issues relevant to the university.
