Living & Learning at Elon

The Residential College Society recognized Elon’s commitment to building community, belonging and student success through its collaborative residential learning model.

Megan DeMarco ‘26 is the recipient of an award recognizing outstanding leadership and service by North Carolina Campus Engagement, a statewide network of colleges and universities committed to preparing students for civic and social responsibility.

In October, Kirsten Carrier, assistant dean of campus life and director of residence life and Lucy Sneader, graduate apprentice for the Global Neighborhood, presented at the North Carolina Housing Officers (NCHO) conference in Greensboro, hosted by NC A&T.

A ceremony in what was previously known as Global Commons in the university's Global Neighborhood now bears the name of a 1920 graduate described as "a beacon of leadership and intellectual curiosity."

Students, staff, faculty and friends joined together at Irazú Coffee for the fourth annual GlobalVision song contest. Performers can either do karaoke, sing an original song, or lip sync, the one stipulation is that it must be in a language other than English.

A contingent of faculty and staff leaders within Elon's First-Year Experience Advisory Committee attended the national First-Year Experience conference in New Orleans, Louisiana to share Elon's #1 ranked First-Year Experience work.

The Housing Application for 2025-26 is due Feb. 10. Then, in February and March all current students who intend to return to campus housing, in residence halls and apartments, need to MATCH (Roommate Match on Self-Service) and SELECT (participate in a Housing Selection process) to secure their housing for 2025-26.
