Professor of Buddhist Studies Pamela D. Winfield was invited to give two talks on Buddhist art to large, general audiences.

Claussen discussed the Israel-Gaza war in articles published by "Sources: A Journal of Jewish Ideas" and the "Journal of Jewish Ethics."

The article was published in the "International Journal of Hindu Studies."

The article appears in "The Revealer," an online magazine published by The Center for Religion and Media at New York University.

In addition to being elected as Treasurer, Professor of Religious Studies and Director of the Multifaith Scholars Program Amy Allocco also presented research and chaired meetings at the 23rd Quinquennial World Congress in Kraków, Poland.

The five annual awards celebrate excellence in teaching, scholarship, service-leadership, mentorship and staff in Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.

Winfield presented her work, "Vajrapani in Renaissance Italy? Buddhist Iconography and the Question of Premodern Orientalism."

Professor Lynn R. Huber's lecture introduced portions of her current book project on color in the Book of Revelation.

Huber will develop and co-edit "Sexing Scripture," a platform for creative and boundary-pushing perspectives on gender, sex and sexuality within and around scriptural traditions.

Through a two-year fellows program, the five students in this multidisciplinary cohort will undertake mentored undergraduate research projects, enroll in specialized coursework and engage in community-based learning with diverse religious communities.
