Elon University students captured 11 awards in the 2025 BEA Festival of Media Arts, an international competition recognizing excellence in digital media and broadcasting. Most notably, Brandon Cericola ’26 and Kate Rivera ’25 turned their Audio for Sound and Digital Media class assignment into a Best of Festival award.

The Elon alum is adventuring out west, at least on screen, in the prequel to the hit Paramount Network series "Yellowstone."

Elon University’s Department of Sport Management will host its annual symposium on Wednesday, Feb. 26, featuring a keynote conversation and two expert-led panel discussions highlighting "The Future of College Football." The in-person event is free and open to the public.

The distinguished play-by-play commentator for ESPN and ACC Network will address Elon University’s Class of 2025 when he visits his alma mater in May for undergraduate ceremonies inside Schar Center.

The Elon alumnus has always had a knack for producing high-quality sports video content. This week, the cinema and television arts major will continue to do so at the College Football Playoff National Championship in Atlanta.

The School of Communications alumna began her career at Elon’s student newspaper before working for the Burlington Times-News, the Tennessean and Politico. Her work has earned multiple awards, including the grand prize at the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Book and Journalism Awards.

The cinema and television arts graduate serves as the playoff’s Tom Mickle Communications and Social Media Intern, supporting the creation and execution of a year-round social media strategy that emphasizes its brand and voice.

Led by faculty members David Bockino, Colin Donohue and Staci Saltz, 45 first-year Communications Fellows traveled to Charlotte in November, visiting WSOC-TV, Pillar4 Media and NASCAR’s headquarters, and connecting with alumni working in the Queen City.

Madeline Paige ’19 has made great strides in a career she adores, crediting Elon for the ambition that propels her forward.
