School of Education Dean Ann Bullock will participate in a year-long fellowship with Deans for Impact, a national nonprofit organization to support and empower leaders at all levels of educator preparation. 

The annual Teaching & Learning Conference hosted by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching & Learning and Teaching and Learning Technologies at Elon drew hundreds of professors from around the state. 

About 60 area teachers will attend workshops at Elon centered around innovative ways to teach science, technology, engineering and mathematics to K-12 students.

The School of Education is hosting a Welcome to #ELONEd session for all students admitted into the Teacher Education program since fall 2016. 

Gov. Roy Cooper recently visited the first grade classroom of Sarah Spaeth '14 at Pearsontown Elementary School in Durham, North Carolina. 

Elon University's "It Takes a Village" Project began in 2008 with Elon education students providing after-school reading assistance to 16 third-graders. 

Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, co-authored the article in the peer-reviewed journal The Internet and Higher Education.

Dean Ann Bullock is one of 16 from the educational community selected to serve on the newly created Professional Educator and Preparation Standards Commission. 

The School of Education will welcome new students into the Teacher Education Program during an induction ceremony on Sept. 21, 2017.
