Elon University Student Government Association. Service, Leadership, Excellence.

A Message from Student Government

It is with extreme gratitude and honor that I serve as Elon University’s Student Body President for the 2022-2023 academic year. Students have always been at the center of the Student Government Association (SGA). As an organization, we are committed to uplifting and advocating for the rights, opinions, and interests of the student body. Elon students deserve to have a student government that not only leads them, but leads alongside them. Who sees them holistically through their intersecting identities, and seeks to be collaborative and not exclusionary in our endeavors. I see so much potential in Elon because I know first-hand there is immense power in its students.

We are true servant-leaders with innate desires to give back to this community, and to pursue innovative solutions to the issues many of us face on a daily basis. SGA is devoted to maintaining an intersectional lens to equity and inclusivity work; cultivating a culture of trust and transparency; strengthening campus and community engagement; and continuing to amplify student voices.

This year will not be without its challenges, but good things never are. SGA will be dedicating everything we can to the students at Elon, for we are nothing without you. All we ask in return is your support and participation as the entire student body. So, I’d like to encourage you to come see how you can impact your campus. Our meetings in the next semester are biweekly on

Thursdays at 7:30 in Moseley 215, open to all.

I think when you truly care about something you want to make it better, and part of that is criticism. I want to make this university better because I love the people who reside in it. So, we welcome your feedback and I hope you will contact me or any other member of SGA if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns.

I am excited to serve the Elon community, and cannot wait to see what we can do together.

Sincerely,

Nadine Jose
Student Body President
