Each spring, the Department of Religious Studies selects students to receive the following awards:
The Basnight Award:To the outstanding Bible student for the current academic year.
The Greek Bible Award:To the most conscientious and best-prepared student in the New Testament Greek class.
The Religion Scholar Award:Given to the rising senior whom the religious studies faculty determines to have done the most outstanding work in religious studies courses for the current academic year.
Theta Alpha Kappa is a National Honor Society in religious studies. Students who meet the following requirements are selected for membership in the Elon University chapter of this society: an overall grade point average of 3.00 or better and a 3.5 grade point average in at least 12 hours of courses in religious studies.
