Elon University - Alumni Association

The Elon Alumni Association

The mission of the Elon University Alumni Association is to "inform, connect and engage Elon alumni while supporting the mission and goals of the university."

What does the Alumni Association do?

  • Promotes fellowship among alumni
  • Cultivates leadership and financial support for university priorities
  • Seeks to increase the percentage of alumni involved in on- and off-campus programs
  • Identifies and cultivates future alumni leaders
  • Provides insight and resources to secure mentoring, internship and employment opportunities for current students and alumni

Are all alumni considered members?

Yes. All Elon graduates and anyone who completed at least one semester of course work are automatically members of the Alumni Association. There are no dues to join or belong. The Alumni Association is governed by the Elon Alumni Board and funded by Elon.

What are the benefits to membership?

  • Quarterly issues of the award-winning Magazine of Elon at no charge
  • Free lifetime access to the services of Elon's Career Center

How can Alumni Association members help Elon?

As proud Elon graduates and members of the Alumni Association, you can help maintain strong connections to your alma mater by attending Elon events regularly and staying in touch with your classmates. In addition, annual gifts to Elon are encouraged to ensure that future generations of students receive the same excellent education that you enjoyed. Tuition covers only part of the cost of an Elon education. Elon relies on the generosity of alumni, parents and friends for the remaining support.

Are there groups within the Alumni Association?

Yes. Alumni who have graduated 50 or more years ago are called Golden Alumni. The class celebrating its 50-year reunion is traditionally inducted into the Golden Alumni group during Homecoming Weekend in the fall.

The Young Alumni group consists of alumni who graduated within the past 10 years. The Elon Alumni Association also has an active African-American Alumni group.
