About the Elon Black Alumni Network

Mission

The Elon Black Alumni Network is an official branch of the Office of Alumni Engagement. This affinity group strives to unite and represent the interests of Elon University's black alumni and students and to promote active participation of its members in the affairs of the Office of Alumni Engagement.

Purposes

  • To promote the university's reputation for excellence
  • To build goodwill between the university and its alumni
  • To develop and maintain the connection between the university, students and fellow alumni
  • To promote multiculturalism and diversity on campus
  • To promote the black presence on campus
  • To promote and sustain general alumni contributions to the university
  • To promote and sustain the Black Alumni Network Scholarship
  • To aid in black student recruitment and retention
  • To support black faculty and staff
  • To promote the professional development of Elon's undergraduates and alumni

Membership

Becoming a member of the Elon Black Alumni Network is easy. All African-American graduates and students who completed at least one semester of coursework at Elon are considered members of EBAN. There are no dues to join. But don't stop there! We invite you to join a committee or the EBAN leadership team. Also, don't forget to join our Facebook group for updated information about events and programs.
