We are excited to announce the launch of the Elon Technology Champions!  The purpose of the Champions is to improve the utilization of technology, increase skills across campus and enhance communication between Instructional & Campus Technologies (I&CT) and faculty/staff.  An Elon Technology Champion is a liaison between I&CT, their department/area and the Elon community.

A Champion provides first line support and coaching and identifies training needs for all members of the Champion’s department/area.  As an advocate, a Champion brings technology initiatives and knowledge to their area on behalf of I&CT and lobbies for their peers in relation to technology resources and support.  We invite you to learn more about us and our mission.

Please join us for a discussion hosted by the Elon Technology Champions, Adam Constantine, Elon’s Social Media Manager, and the Office of Leadership & Professional Development (OLPD). Many departments and groups around campus have made the jump into using social media to promote their work – have you made the leap? Topics will include identifying social media forms, potential benefits and drawbacks, effective use, how to measure your reach, what Elon’s social media policies are and what resources exist on campus. A buffet lunch will be provided for those who register.

Please join us for a panel discussion hosted by the Elon Technology Champions and the Office of Leadership & Professional Development (OLPD).  Many departments around campus use SharePoint to help with their business processes and collaboration.  Are you interested in learning more about how SharePoint can help you?
 
Bill Turner, SharePoint Analyst/Developer, will introduce SharePoint and discuss the many features of the software.  Melissa Holmes, Assistant Registrar/Technology, will give an overview of the Registrar’s SharePoint site, how their office uses it daily and how forms work.  Ayesha Delpish, Associate Dean of the School of Education, will discuss assessment, statistics capabilities and general storage.
