Staying ConnectedParents talking with students

You probably have mixed emotions about dropping your child off at college, ranging from pride to sadness. There are several books and magazines available that will give you insight into your son or daughter's college experience. We hope you will enjoy the following resources:

Letting Go: A Parents' Guide to Today's College Experience, by Karen Levin Coburn and Madge Lawrence Treeger

The Freshman Experience or The Senior Year Experience, by John Gardner, a parent of an Elon graduate

Beating the College Blues, by Paul Grayson and Phil Meilman.

Many parents visit Elon's news and information Web site, www.elon.edu/e-net, daily because it's packed with the latest happenings on campus. You can also sign up to receive the weekly ThisWeek@Elon newsletter via e-mail.

The Pendulum Online is the Web version of Elon's student newspaper.

You can also get a subscription to the print version of The Pendulum. Please e-mail pendulum@elon.edu for pricing information.

If you need to change your mailing address for The Magazine of Elon, please e-mail alumniaddresschange@elon.edu.

Also, be sure to visit the Parent Relations and Family Weekend Web sites often for the latest information.
