Research/Creative Interests
I am a biostatistician who focuses on interdisciplinary, health-related research. My primary areas of interest are global health, reproductive health, and recovery from pain.
What types of “data” do you commonly use?
I engage in all manners of quantitative data analysis. My specialty areas involve longitudinal data analysis and survival (time-to-event) analysis, but I’m also adept at applying structural equation models and models for clustered data.
What types of collaborations are you open to?
I enjoy working with students on research projects that involve analyzing large, publicly available, health-related dataset. As far as collaborations go, I’m most interested in working on randomized controlled trials.
What agencies, organizations, or foundations do you have experience with to apply for grants?
- NIH
- CDC
- Gates
Student Qualifications
- I typically mentor statistics or data analytics majors. However, I would be open to mentoring students from any major as long as they have completed at least one statistics class higher than STS 2120.
