Research/Creative Interests

How nutrition and psychoactive substances affect cognition, especially functions associated with the prefrontal cortex. Research/professional interests also include perceptual, neurobiological, and philosophical aspects of human consciousness, social and geopolitical components of drug use and commerce, and ethics and best practices in higher education-community organization partnerships, particularly in international settings.

What types of “data” do you commonly use?

Quantitative analysis of behavioral data, survey data, large public datasets.

What types of collaborations are you open to?

Open to conversations about collaborations of all types, with students, faculty, and staff.

Student Qualifications

Preferred student mentees will have a declared major or minor in psychology, neuroscience, biology, public health, or philosophy. I am particularly interested in mentoring students from historically marginalized populations.
