Spring 2018

President Book’s strategic listening tour with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and boards and councils served as the foundation for the strategic planning process.

Fall 2018 & Spring 2019

More than 812 faculty and staff and 110 community partners participated in 12 listening sessions throughout Fall 2018 and Spring 2019.

More than a dozen boards and councils were consulted, including the Board of Trustees, President’s Advisory Council, President’s Student Advisory Council, Elon Alumni Board, Young Alumni Council, President’s Young Alumni Council, Parents Council, Jewish Life Advisory Council, Black Life Advisory Council, advisory boards for the schools of law, business, communications, and education.

In April, more than 350 students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and board and council members gathered in Alumni Gym for a half-day strategic planning workshop and brainstorming session.

Summer 2019

Students, faculty, and Staff on the Strategic Planning Committee met for two days to develop plan themes during the June 2019 retreat.

Fall 2019

More than 560 faculty and staff members participated in strategic planning listening sessions in fall 2019. Student sessions included the Student Government Association Open Forum, the President’s Student Leadership Advisory Council, and more.

Board and council sessions continued with the Schools of Communications, Education, Law, and Business Advisory Boards, as well as the President’s Advisory Council, Board of Trustees, Young Alumni Council, Elon Alumni Board, Parents Council, Black Life Advisory Council, as did feedback sessions with Life at Elon, Physical Plan, Staff Advisory Council, faculty meetings, and more.
