Although there are many professional development programs and resources offered through our office and University partners, we recognize that staff may need something more specialized to achieve their professional goals. Professional development funds, also known as grant-in-aid, are available for those who need extra funding for materials (e.g., books), tuition and registration fees, and travel costs.

Grant-in-aid is limited and awards are typically $100-$200 per year. These funds are meant to supplement efforts already supported by your department and should be tied to your professional development goals. It would be helpful, if departments could provide matching funds.
