Charter class gift presented at Elon Law Dean’s Reception

On the eve of their graduation, members of the charter class presented their gift to the Elon University School of Law, a contribution toward a scholarship for future law students and an original commissioned painting by Greensboro artist William Mangum, depicting iconic elements of the law school facility and historic experiences of the Elon Law community.

North and South Carolina Legal Research and Writing Colloquium – May 21

Elon University School of Law welcomes faculty from all law schools in North and South Carolina on Thursday, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for the 2009 North and South Carolina Legal Research and Writing Colloquium. Faculty from other disciplines and practing attorneys will participate in the colloquium as well.

David Gergen to deliver Elon University School of Law 2009 Commencement address

David Gergen, adviser to four U.S. presidents, director of the Center for Public Leadership at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and chair of the Elon University School of Law Advisory Board, will deliver the inaugural Commencement address for the law school, scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, May 24, at Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro. Elon University will also present Gergen with an honorary doctorate at the ceremonies.
