Maker Hub

The report, which highlights trends, challenges and developments in educational technology, lauded Elon Kickbox as an exemplar project.

On Tuesday, Oct. 2, come to Arts West for a lesson in Shibori with visiting artist Naomi Falk. The art created will become a part of a public installation displayed throughout the month in downtown Elon. Everyone is welcome to this event, including family and community members. Free pizza will be provided.

Nearly 30 representatives from 13 institutions across the state attended the June 19 event held on Elon’s campus.

The Maker Hub - Downtown will be open to Elon students, faculty, and staff this summer.

A computer science major with a keen interest in creating, Jourdan welcomes the academic challenges her Elon experience provides.

The Maker Hub-hosted event allowed University members to gather and admire 25 projects from students, faculty and staff.

The Maker Takeover to showcase more than 25 projects from Elon students, faculty, and staff on April 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

An independent historian of technology, George Dyson will speak April 10 in LaRose Digital Theatre in the Koury Business Center through the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Program. 

Jennifer Nunez, assistant professor of biology, shares how inclement weather inspired her to integrate the Maker Hub into her course assignments with overwhelming support from her students. 

Kyle Altmann,  associate professor of physics, shares how he uses the Maker Hub to teach his students the importance of making in and out of the classroom.
