“The whole MBA experience opened my perspective on leadership and reinforced my ability to move outside of my comfort zone. I made a significant career change soon after graduation, and as the sole provider for my family that was a big decision. My MBA gave me the courage to pursue new opportunities and to begin a career that can make a difference in the community.”

"I was selected for a new position because I was enrolled in Elon's MBA program, something that indicated to the executive team that I was interested in doing more and capable of succeeding. Buck McGregor is an excellent instructor and spent extra time with me when I had questions about relating class concepts to what I was experiencing at work.

I appreciate that Elon recognizes the importance of creative thinking and innovation in the workplace and even offers a class that explores the relationship between creativity and breakthrough successes. In a competitive market, you want to be the first to introduce a new product or service, and I learned tactics in Kevin O'Mara's class that encourage creativity and innovation such as small group sizes and process modeling."

"I received a promotion in January 2010. At that time, my boss remarked on my growth within the last year. I personally feel the MBA gave me more confidence and so when I am in these high level meetings I feel more comfortable in my ability to contribute.

There are several classes and professors from which I have learned a great deal. These professors taught different classes but emphasized the same message: The importance of thinking strategically when making business decisions and considering the big picture when making these decisions. Sometimes the big picture is the company's overall performance and long-term future, othertimes it's how this decision will play out in international markets and affect the global economy."
