Your Elon MBA does more than strengthen your professional credentials; it is also a guarantee of support from Elon Career Services. The Love School of Business’ Porter Family Professional Development Center, located in Koury Business Center 106, is a branch of Elon University’s Student Professional Development Center, located in Moseley Center. A wide range of career services is available to MBA students. These include:

  • Self-assessment exercises, including exploring interests, abilities, values, and personality style
  • Assistance in developing/updating a professional resume and cover letter
  • Exploring career options
  • Establishing career goals and developing strategies to achieve them
  • Employer networking
  • Thursday evening career development workshops

In addition, the Elon MBA program provides an informal yet highly effective network of job listings and referrals for alumni and current students. Your fellow students will often be the first source of openings and career opportunities, a service that is enhanced by an active MBA Student & Alumni Association.

Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to hire Elon MBA graduates into managerial roles at the UNC Medical Center. Elon graduates have rapidly and successfully integrated into the complex environment and assimilated the multiple components of the clinical, teaching, and research culture. In addition, the Elon alumni have been recognized for excellence in personnel management, operational innovation, and business development.

The Elon MBA helped me recognize my strengths and gave me the push I needed to pursue a new career in a challenging and growing industry. I left the program with increased confidence in my professional abilities and a renewed love of learning. I was quickly able to apply lessons I learned in the classroom to my professional life and I continue to apply those lessons on a daily basis. I thoroughly enjoyed being around my smart and accomplished classmates and will always value the friendships I made in the program.

The MBA program has helped me realize and recognize pieces of my personality, my strengths and my weaknesses. It has helped me to hone skills that will be assets to me as I advance my career. It has been valuable to hear the different perspective that each student brings. In each class, there are people who have experiences to share providing real life examples of the subject matter. I have enjoyed working with the career advisors. They are always positive and helpful in finding ways for me to market myself better.
