The Elon Black Alumni Network (EBAN) is an officially chartered affinity chapter of the Office of Alumni Engagement. Our purpose is to build, maintain and sustain collaborative relationships with black alumni through social events, networking and philanthropic purposes impacting current and future Elon students. As graduates of our prestigious university, we should do our part to contribute to Elon’s vibrant alumni network.
I encourage each EBAN member to be a strong Partner, Advocate and Investor in our university. Upon entering Elon, we received an acorn, and upon graduation we each received an oak sapling representing our growth and matriculation as students of the university. The small sapling when planted and nurtured grows into a large upstanding oak tree, which represents the life of alum, as you get older, your commitment to our dear university should grow stronger each year.
My vision is to take EBAN to the next level while respecting the long-standing traditions and hard work of president’s before me. I hope we are able to successfully execute regional programming for the EBAN alumni base, increase participation in alumni giving to the EBAN scholarship, provide consistent and up-to-date communication to our membership, and create a successful mentoring program connecting alums with current students.
Please take some time to familiarize yourself with our website and I encourage you to get involved in EBAN, attend our homecoming events, and to financially support the scholarship in any amount you can. As always, Long Live Elon!
WE are EBAN,
