pecial family. Elon is a unique place where students, faculty, staff, and parents work together to ensure that your sons and daughters receive a transformative education. As an Elon parent, you are now a member of the Elon Parents Association. The Parents Council serves as the board of the Elon Parents Association, keeping you informed about university activities, policies, programs, and plans for future development. The Council provides parents with a means to share observations, suggestions, or concerns about university programs and student life. Please feel free to contact us or any member of the Council through the Office of Parent Programs at 888.784.ELON. Be sure to bookmark the Parent Programs Web site—it is a portal to help you access all facets of the university Web site, including information on Orientation and Move-In Weekend (New Parents), Family Weekend, Commencement, and much more.
The most enjoyable responsibility of the Parents Association and Council is to assist with the Summer Welcome Events. These informal gatherings are hosted by our members to introduce new students and their families to Elon before the school year begins. It is a great opportunity to network with other parents in your area. For those of you who do not live near one of these events, you are welcome to contact us or any Council member through the Office of Parent Programs. Click here for a complete list of 2009 Summer Welcome Events.

You may also be interested to join the university’s career networking database, the Elon Career Network. Registration takes only a few minutes, and the system allows you to control your contact details and update your preferences at any time. Parents are among Elon’s most consistent and generous donors. We hope you will join us by supporting the Parents & Grandparents Fund. Your gift to the Parents & Grandparents Fund provides a critical source of annual funding to the university, which sustains and enhances Elon's quality programs and facilities that are enjoyed by our students. A gift of any amount makes a difference and is most appreciated.
We wish you and your students a most successful year at Elon!
Best regards,
