The Loy Neighborhood

Elon University houses 192 students in our 3 styles of on-campus fraternity and sorority housing. The Loy Neighborhood is part of Elon University's Residential Community. Students who live in a chapter facility are to follow the same guidelines as students in our traditional residence halls. In addition to the university housing guidelines, students are held to the Fraternity and Sorority Housing Agreement and Policies, as well as individual chapter's policies regarding the living facility. Elon is proud to house our Greek-lettered organizations on campus, building a safe and thriving community on the Elon campus.

The House Captains serve as live-in resident assistants for their chapter, and are an extremely important part of the overall operation of the housing facilities. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life, the House Captains are nominated by their individual chapters with final selection by the Director and Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life.

Elon University owns the houses in the Loy Neighborhood, the chapters that occupy the buildings must sign a ten-month use agreement each year. Every three years, all chapters at Elon University are eligible to apply for housing.
