Job Family: Health and Wellness
The Health & Wellness job family promotes a healthy and productive university community. Supports and provides health education, wellness programs and health promotion to the university and surrounding community. Organizes educational programming, distributes material to the community to promote healthy lifestyles.
Health & Wellness Sub-Families
Counseling
Positions in this sub-family are responsible for behavioral health care and counseling services. Activities include those which address mental health, emotional problems and disorders, and substance abuse. Coordinates assistance to patients and families relating to illness, disease, and hospitalization in all areas of service as a member of multi-disciplinary team and in liaison with community resources.
Recreation Programs
Positions in the Recreation Programs sub-family administer and provide health and wellness initiatives, recreational programs, and facilities to the campus community to support student development and learning. Use a combination of education, training, experience, and proficiency in aquatics, fitness, golf, instructional programs, intramural sports, outdoor recreation, and sport clubs.
Wellness
Positions in this sub-family manage, provide, coordinate, and support health education and community outreach. Provide employee health education and wellness programs. Plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate health education programs to prevent illness and promote the health and wellness of the community.
