As part of a comprehensive benefits package for faculty and staff, Elon University offers employees tuition remission and tuition exchange to help further and advance their education and career goals.

Tuition Remission For Employees

Eligibility: Upon first day of employment.

All regular, full-time employees may take up to eight credits per semester (fall and spring), with supervisor approval for an undergraduate degree available immediately upon hire. Employees enrolling in an eligible graduate program must be employed for at least 12 months prior to receiving tuition remission. Under certain circumstances, the 12-month requirement may be waived, and must be approved by the vice president of your division and Human Resources.

All regular, part-time employees may take up to four credits per semester (fall and spring), with supervisor approval for an undergraduate degree. These hours may be taken during work hours, with supervisor approval, so long as that time is made up.

Employees who work full-time but less than 12 months are permitted to take a maximum of eight credits per summer and winter as long as they are not scheduled to work at any time during the period in which the class(es) will take place.

Further conditions apply and are available to Elon employees in the staff manual.
