Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina Details

The BCBSNC Member Services website offers participating faculty and staff an organized and secure way to manage their medical benefits. Through this platform, members can access personalized health information, review claims, locate in-network providers, and take advantage of wellness tools and resources. The site is designed to empower, educate, and engage members to take an active role in their health care journey by making informed decisions and fully utilizing their benefits. Signing up for BCBSNC Member Services will give members access to:

  • View plan benefits to see how the plan will cover a particular service
  • Review explanation of benefits to understand what the plan paid and what is the member’s responsibility
  • Understand out-of-pocket expenditures and see how much has been applied toward the annual deductible and co-insurance in that plan year

With no travel or waiting room required, Teladoc offers an easy and affordable way to access quality health care from the comfort of home.

With your Elon health plan:

  • Plan A participants will pay a $15 copay per visit.
  • Plan B participants will pay a $10 copay per visit.
  • Plan C participants will pay 100% of the cost until their deductible has been met. They will then pay 30% of the cost.

Optum Rx serves as Elon University’s pharmacy benefit manager, providing access to the prescriptions you need through a wide network of pharmacies. In addition to convenient service, Optum Rx offers tools to help you manage your medications and find more cost-effective options for your care.

BCBS provides machine readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
