Honors Students Abroad and Away

Every Honors student is eligible for a one-time $1,000 intercultural grant for study an Elon-approved study abroad or study away program. These include Elon’s semester, Winter Term, and Summer Term programs, plus Elon-affiliated semester programs. Check with The Isabella Cannon Global Education Centre for a list of accepted programs.  It is recommended that you meet with a Cannon Centre study abroad adviser as well as your academic advisor to determine how your courses abroad/ away will fit your overall academic plan.

When you apply for a study abroad or study away program through the Global Education Center, be sure and note that you are an Honors student on your application. Please fill out this ONLINE APPLICATION the semester before you study abroad/ away to have your grant applied to your account. Grants are applied no sooner than ten days prior to the semester of study.

Inquiry in Italy

Each Winter Term, the Honors Program offers a first year optional seminar, entitled “Inquiry in Italy.” Throughout the three-week intensive course, students travel across Sicily and mainland Italy to explore the intersections of “Italian” identity. Please click HERE to learn more.
