About Rachel Switzky

June He is an Assistant Professor of Product Design at Drexel University’s Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and the founding director of the Empathic CoDesign Lab. Her work focuses on human-centered design, aging, and community collaboration, with an emphasis on developing inclusive solutions alongside older adults and underserved communities. Through interdisciplinary research and hands-on learning, she explores how design can improve accessibility, celebrate diverse cultural perspectives, and support more equitable communities. She received Drexel’s 2023 Provost Award for Pedagogical Innovation for her work in design education.
