About Kriti Sharma
Dr. Kriti Sharma is an Associate Professor of Critical Race Science and Technology Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. A microbial ecologist and philosopher, her work brings together biology, philosophy, and art to explore interdependence and the relationships between humans and the natural world. Her research examines how microbial communities contribute to ecosystem health and climate resilience, while her teaching and writing challenge conventional ways of understanding life and our connections to other beings. She is also the co-author of Relationality: An Emergent Politics of Life Beyond the Human, which explores how recognizing interdependence can help shape more just and sustainable futures.
