About Rachel Switzky
Rachel Switzky is the inaugural director of the Siebel Center for Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. With more than 20 years of experience in global design leadership, including over a decade at IDEO, she specializes in human-centered design, innovation strategy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work focuses on integrating design thinking into higher education, helping students and educators develop creative problem-solving skills and apply design methods to complex challenges. She is passionate about building collaborative learning environments that empower people to use their expertise and creativity to create meaningful change.
