We’ve got to come together as a county, as a people, to get things done.

Celo Faucette is a community leader and advocate born and raised in Burlington. Even after moving away, he chose to return to his hometown to help it grow.

Faucette got into politics in his 50s, serving on the City Council, County Commission, and the Alamance County Transit Authority. Faucette was influential in the renovations and new pool installation at North Park. Today, there is a garden at North Park named after him in recognition of his hard work.

He is constantly striving to make Burlington “a place people are proud of” and encourages people to stay civically engaged through voting and talking to elected officials.
