We just loved the ministry and loved music too.
John Perkins has always loved to sing. He was a founding member of the singing group, the Tenernears, and later a member of the Mighty Tenernears. Recognizing the power of song and faith, Perkins and his fellow members worked to spread a message of love through music in churches all over the east coast: from right here in Burlington all the way to West Virginia.
Throughout the band’s history, many members would come and go, whether to take a more permanent position in ministry or to make way for younger members. However, one thing would remain the same: the group’s dedication to bringing faith and spreading their message across the community.
