I am a product of the whole community.
Dr. Styles considers herself a product of her community, church, school, and family, all of which taught her the values she embodies today.
After working for many years in the local school system and heading into retirement, Styles decided to go back to school for her own education and received her doctorate degree in Theology.
Styles takes pride in the way she brings her experience and knowledge together to address the needs of the people she serves. For example, she developed Black Male Role Models: a community of Black men that could provide a caring mentorship with her students to address the lack of Black male role models in her students’ lives. She works to remind people that there is always hope in community.
